Business Development Financing Programs

The South Central Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission has adopted an aggressive posture in providing below-market, fixed-rate, business development financing in cooperation with the area's financial institutions.

Currently, the Commission offers the following business development financing alternatives to qualifying new or expanding firms within the five-county service jurisdiction:

• 5.5% Fixed-Rate Commercial and Industrial Loans (Rural Business Initiative Loan Program);
• 3.5% Fixed-Rate Direct Loans to Local Governments (Community Development Initiative Loans);
• 4.5% Fixed-Rate Industrial Loans to New or Expanding Firms (Title IX Revolving Loan Program);
• Fixed-Rate, Long-Term, Fixed Asset Loans to Small Business Concerns (Section 504 Loans); and
• Bank Loan Guarantees (SBA 7[a] and Rural Development Loans).
