members". Therefore, this section is designed to introduce
viewers to our key staff members and share information regarding their normal areas of
responsibility and how to effectively communicate with them.

The Executive Director exercises general supervision over the routine administrative
affairs of the agency and as such administers all programs and policies established by the
governing body. Specific functions include:
- general administration, budgetary and fiscal management functions;
- oversight of regulatory compliance efforts;
- public relations and promotional activities;
- primary personnel management functions;
- governing body and staff educational efforts;
- introduction/development of new programs;
- various grant writing functions; and
- credit analysis & loan packaging/processing functions.

The Regional Director of Development exercises general supervision over the district wide
economic development planning efforts of the agency and as such implements many
EDA-supported programs and policies established by the governing body. Specific
functions include:
- general supervision and implementation of economic development planning functions;
- oversight of compliance with EDA planning grant including "annual CEDS
update", monitoring of major economic events in region, etc;
- provision of technical assistance for the effective local use of selected economic
development-oriented state and federal grant & loan programs;
- storage and retrieval of demographic data for local governments and civic leaders;
and
- other functions as assigned by Executive Director.

The Grants Manager exercises general supervision over all aspects of the Commission's
routine provision of grant management and administrative services to local governments.
Specific functions include:
- maintain an intimate knowledge of the grant management requirements for various state
and federal grant programs;
- provide local governments and affected private sector firms with guidance and direction
regarding state and federal regulatory compliance efforts;
- assist grant recipients in the acceptance, environmental clearance, implementation and
close-out of various state and federal grants;
- plan for, attend and conduct (where necessary) requisite public participation
hearings; and
- periodically assist the Executive Director in selected grant writing functions

The Office Manager/Bookkeeper exercises primary supervision over the routine accounting
for and fiscal administration of all programs operated by the Commission. Specific
functions include:
- general receptionist and clerical functions;
- primary responsibility for general bookkeeping and accounting functions;
- review and preparation of all checks and drafts, etc. issued by the Commission;
- review and maintenance of accurate staff time sheets and travel requests;
- oversight of regulatory fiscal compliance efforts;
- maintenance of suitable financial records and billing documentation for all accounts;
and
- other functions as assigned by Executive Director.

The Administrative Assistant exercises general supervision over the routine
administrative affairs of the agency and as such administers all programs and policies
established by the governing body. Specific functions include:
- assisting the Executive Director with general administration, budgetary and fiscal
management functions;
- general receptionist and clerical functions;
- primary responsibility of preparing for monthly business and annual Commission meetings;
- assisting the Executive Director with public relations activities;
- primary responsibility for monitoring direct loan repayments by recipients and
functions;
- governing body and staff educational efforts;
- introduction/development of new programs;
- various grant writing functions;
- credit analysis & loan packaging/processing functions.
