The Region in Perspective

The five-county "South Central Region" represents a land mass comprised of nearly 2,750 square miles and includes some 44 incorporated municipalities scattered throughout the five member counties. In general, the region (or District) would be characterized a rural but urbanizing in nature. The region's centralized location within the Midwestern US affords access to a 532-county market area with 45 million residents which can be accessed via a one-day truck drive.

The region's incorporated municipalities are, for the most part, spaced some 7 to 10 miles apart and situated within reasonable proximity to either Interstates 57 and 70 or one of several important state or federal routes which intersect the five-county area.
