Local governments may request grant funds up to $550,000. These grants are used to upgrade existing housing stock in the communities and to provide safe and sanitary living conditions for low-to-moderate income, single family, owner occupied residents of their communities. Applications are judged competitively in the late Summer to early Fall of each fiscal year.
